About Yoma

Yomā (which means ‘dear mother’ in Nepal Bhasa) is a knowledge hub for expecting, new, and experienced parents in Nepal. Yomā covers articles from more than 30 mothers, fathers and experts offering a range of parenthood advice and experiences.

Parenthood is one of the most fulfilling journeys but it can be an equally challenging one as well. Yomā hopes to build a community of mothers, fathers and caregivers who can share and learn from each other.

Sneha Shrestha is a mother of two girls. Her diverse work experience across the US, Nepal, and India includes management consulting in Boston, working in Nepal’s development sector, and doing art therapy in Tamil Nadu. Most recently, she worked with Louis Berger as Program Manager; she was also a core founding member of Samriddha Pahad, a UK-based social impact firm facilitating access to finance to Nepal’s mountain communities. Sneha has a background in art therapy, economics, and film.
