Dr. Shreyashi Aryal is an Associate Professor, Obstetrician, and Gynecologist at Kathmandu Medical College. She completed her Masters’s Degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Kathmandu Medical College, her MBBS at Manipal College of Medical Science, and her residency at Kathmandu Medical College. She is also the winner of the Young Gynecologist award 2017. She is particularly interested in maternal mental health.

Dr. Sanjay Raj Thapa is a Pediatrician/ Pediatric Asthma Allergist at Grande International Hospital. He completed his medical degree from Kathmandu University and his residency in pediatrics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi. He received training in Pediatric Asthma and Allergy from Imperial NHS Healthcare Trust in the United Kingdom and Post Graduate Program in Pediatrics Nutrition (PGPN) certification from Boston University School of Medicine. He is a member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), with a focus on pediatric critical care and vaccines.

Dr. Richa  Amatya is a Consultant Psychiatrist at Nepal Mediciti Hospital and is also associated with the Nepal Army Institute of Health Sciences as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. She completed her medical school at the University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, and her residency in Psychiatry at Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara, Nepal. She believes in building trust and rapport with patients through a non-judgmental and empathetic approach for better treatment outcomes. She also strongly advocates to remove the stigma associated with mental health.

Sara Lyon is the founder of Glow Birth & Body, a pre-natal massage therapy boutique in the USA. Sara’s career has focused on improving perinatal experiences and outcomes and she is a doula, childbirth educator, and prenatal massage therapist.

She is an alumna of The University of Michigan and Australia’s Endeavour College of Natural Medicine. Her publications, The Birth Deck and You’ve Got This, are extensions of Sara’s effort to bring effective birth support into more hands.

Shilu Karki Ghale is an early childhood educator and trainer. She has her diploma in the Montessori Method of Education (MMI London) and progressive educator training from the Bank Street School of Education (New York). Additionally, she has her certificate in Waldorf Education. She is also the Founder and Education Director at Samsara the Little School located in Jhamsikhel and Hattigauda.

Dr. Kundu Yangzom is a senior Obstetrician and Gynecologist based in Kathmandu with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in urinary fistula surgery and was felicitated by NESOG (Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) for her contribution to the management of urinary fistula in Nepal. She completed her undergrad from All India Institute in Delhi, India, her diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology in Nepal, and her fellowship from the Royal Thai College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has done Basic & Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in India and Fistula training at the Fistula Hospital at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Dr. Kundu trained undergrad students in Patan Academy of Health Sciences and post-grad students (MDGP and MDOBGYN) at the Institute of Medicine and NAMS.

Dr. Priya Vaidya Shrestha is an expert in adolescent psychiatry, anxiety, attention deficit disorder, bipolar disorder, and more. She has over 10 years of clinical experience. Dr. Shrestha graduated from Fatima Jinnah Medical College For Women and later completed her residency in Psychiatry from Metrohealth Medical Center and fellowship in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry from University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center. She is currently a faculty Assistant Professor at University Hospital/Case Western University. In addition, she served as founding president of the Nepalese American Psychiatric Association (NAPA) and has served as the founding chair of the NAOO women’s empowerment committee.

Razeena is a certified childbirth educator with a degree from Childbirth International, a renowned global institution that trains birth professionals all around the world. She has worked as a researcher and evaluator for organizations focused on social justice, and has been an advocate for public health and policy for over 15 years. She is the founder and owner of Naulo Bihaan, Nepal’s first and only education center focused on providing evidence-based pre-and-post-natal classes, skills, resources, and a shared community for expecting women and their families. She is working to help families and communities strengthen their ability to make informed decisions in their birth journey as they navigate their new chapter in life. Dr. Shrujana Shrestha is a dermatologist who specializes in aesthetic procedures. She has been practicing as an aesthetic dermatologist and Managing Director in Absolute Aesthetics Clinic since May 2019. She received her Doctor of Medicine, Dermatology in Nepal; Fellowship on Korean Advances Non-surgical Face lifting under International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science in South Korea, Fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine (FAM) and Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine Level 1 in India and Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine Level 2 under American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine in the UK.

Dr. Banira Karki is the first female Breast (cancer)Oncosurgeon of Nepal. She did her M.B.B.S from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur, Pakistan (2007) and M.S. General Surgery from King Edward Medical University, Lahore, Pakistan (2013). She then proceeded with Fellowship and diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurgaon, India (2013). She has been in the field of surgery for over a decade. Realizing the importance of women’s health especially in context to increasing Breast cancer worldwide she further accomplished her Fellowship in Breast Oncosurgery from TATA Medical Center, India (2020). She is currently providing services at B & B Hospital and Norvic International Hospital as Consultant Breast Oncosurgeon.

Dr. Nija Rajbhandari is an IVF Specialist at Vatsalya Natural IVF, Narayanchaur, Kathmandu and has been providing her expertise for more than four years. She completed her MBBS degree from Nepal Medical College and Teaching hospital and then acquired an MD (Obs/Gyn) degree from College of Medical Science. Dr. Nija recently completed her one year fellowship in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) from Ajanta hospital and IVF center in India to further enhance her competency in the field of infertility treatment. She appreciates the privilege of helping parents fulfill their dreams of bearing children. She is a mother to a 7 year old daughter.

Dr. Vivek Todi is a Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Nephrologist at Ninos Baby Wellness Centre and Norvic International Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal. He is also the founder of Ninos Baby Wellness Centre. He post graduated in Pediatrics from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and specialized in Pediatric Nephrology, Dialysis, and Kidney Transplantation from National University Hospital, NUS, Singapore. He has clinical, academic, and research experience for more than a decade serving children in Nepal. He has a special interest in Kidney diseases, Dialysis, and Transplantation in children.

Smriti Mathema is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital, with 9 years of clinical, academic, and research experience. She was the first Nepali to be selected by the International Pediatric Association for the Child Health Emerging Leaders Program in 2019. Trained in Vaccinology, she has served as the Chairperson of the Immunization Committee of the Nepal Pediatric Society, been the Editor-in-Chief of their Immunization Guidebook and Recommendation, and has trained numerous pediatricians and health workers throughout the country to be Immunization Advocacy Champions. She is grateful every single day for being a Mother of 2 amazing children. She strongly feels that good determined leadership is the key to bring about much-needed change in improving child health in Nepal.

Nira Singh Shrestha, M.D., obstetrics, and gynecology, is the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepal Mediciti Hospital, Bhaisipati. She is a laparoscopic surgeon and has received special training in Advanced Laparoscopy. She is soon introducing the first water birth facility in Nepal

Dr. Surabhi is a Pediatrician at TUTH (Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital) where she has been working for the past 4 years and providing services related to children’s general health check-up, vaccination, breastfeeding, nutrition, counselling and neonatal care. She completed her post-graduate in Pediatric Nutrition in 2019. Her interest lies in community child health and nutrition. She is a mother to a 15-month old son.

Tiffanie is a birth, nutrition, and trauma care professional, and an advocate for women’s health and healing. As a Parenting and Childbirth Educator, Breastfeeding Counselor, Birth Doula, Holistic Nutritionist, Trauma Care professional, and with certifications in Health and Safety, and Communication, she has opened a Cafe and Community Center, and worked alongside local organizations to provide education and to implement development projects and impact initiatives here in Nepal. She believes that there is much to be desired in the efforts to reintegrate rescued victims of sex trafficking and is working with a team to initiate a live-in aftercare program that will prioritize holistic care and competent reintegration. Furthermore, as a writer and a photographer, she looks for ways to share the beauty and stories of women, their families, and Nepali culture.

Monica Pradhan is a Montessori-trained, early childhood educator. She is Head of the Department of the Preschool at Nisarga Batika School. With more than two decades of educational experience, as an educator, trainer and administrator, she is passionate about working with young children and making a positive difference in their formative years. She believes that every child has an innate desire to learn, and can reach their highest potential if given a stimulating environment and appropriate learning activities.

Sonali Shivlani is the founder of Baby360degrees India which offers complete online solutions for pregnancy and parenting. She is the author of Prenatal Fitness 360, Parenting Mantras and Super Moms Recipes. She has worked with more than 40,000 families across India in her 17 years of practice. She is on the expert panel of Mother & Baby, BabyCentre and BabyChakra.

Dija Shrestha has been training professionally since 2010 and has been certified in various genres of health and fitness- as a Zumba trainer, live Insanity Trainer (Beachbody, Los Angeles), live P90 X Trainer (Beachbody, Connecticut), and Piloxing Knockout Trainer (Singapore). She is a doting mother to a 14-year-old girl and is expecting her second baby in 2021. She believes in embracing health and fitness as part of one’s lifestyle and sees it as a balance of physical health, mental stability and spirituality.

Dr. Krista has a Chartered Counselling Psychology Doctorate (HCPC Registered) and has worked in Scotland, England and Nepal. She has been in private practice for more than 8 years and worked for NHS in the UK, for specialized mental healthcare organisations, private and public hospitals and with businesses for mental health assessments and consultations. Dr Krista also provides training and clinical supervision.

Dr. Dina is Consultant Endocrinologist at Norvic International Hospital and Siddhi Polyclinic. She is interested in Diabetes and Thyroid disorders in pregnancy. Dr. Dina completed her MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine (Endocrinology) from Tianjin and Dalian in China. She also completed further training in Clinical attachment for Neuroendocrine from Oxford, UK and Oslo, Norway. She is the current President of DEAN (Diabetes and Endocrine Association of Nepal), and SAFES (South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies). She loves travelling and trekking to new places.

Dr. Deepika completed her MBBS from Lahore, Pakistan and her MD in Ophthalmology from Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu. Her speciality lies in Cornea and Anterior Segment Diseases. She has a fellowship on cataract and anterior segment disease from Mechi Eye Hospital and a Cornea Fellowship from Shroff Charity Eye Hospital in New Delhi. She is a mother of a three-year-old and is interested in ensuring that parents recognize the importance of children’s eye health early on.

Prerana Singh is a practicing dentist based in Houston, Texas. She graduated with DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Indiana University in 2019 and received her BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) in 2011 from SDM college of Dental Science, India. She is passionate about spreading oral health awareness and believes prevention is better than cure. Besides dentistry, she enjoys traveling and fashion. She and her husband welcomed their first baby in December 2020.
